I've been pumping out a lot of content on how to build a mining rig but very little so far on mining software like nicehash.

I was drawn to Nicehash at the start of the year and tested a Geforce 1080TI which at the time had an estimated earning of $5 per day. Profits are down considerably as I type this at the end of February 2018.

This is in part due to the price of bitcoin being slammed and the difficulty rate of alt coins becoming harder. That's not the only reason - there are others too.

So I thought I'd start recording on a monthly basis what are the Nicehash profitability "predictions" on their calculator page.

I'm hoping 12 months from now I'll have built up a true picture of how things look on the profitability calculator compared to reality.

How did I take these readings?

Simple I've taken the top 5 Nvidia cards and the top 5 AMD cards. Plugged in the cost of electricity as $0 to come up with these figures.
